Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected and used on the official website of recording artist Kim Kline (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Cranked Up Records (“we,” “us,” or “our”), on behalf of Kim Kline.

We collect only what is needed to run an official artist website and to stay in touch with people who ask us to.

Information you give us. If you join the mailing list, we collect the email address you submit so we can tell you about new music, including Good Girl, and related news. If you write through the contact form, your name, email address, subject, and message are sent to the artist and label so we can reply. We do not require an account to use the Site.

Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting and delivery partners may receive standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate time of the visit. This is ordinary web-server activity. We do not use it to build a marketing profile of you.

Information stored on your device. If you join the list, your browser may remember that you signed up (so we do not ask twice). That marker stays on your device. You can clear it by clearing this Site’s data in your browser settings.

We use information to operate and protect the Site; to send music, release, and tour notes you asked for; to answer booking, press, collaboration, and fan messages; to understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can keep it working; and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent the mailing list. We do not use your email for unrelated advertising.

Your information is shared only as needed to run the Site and the artist’s work:

The artist and label. List signups and messages are received by Kim Kline and Cranked Up Records so we can write you back and send the music you requested.

Service providers. Hosting, email delivery, and similar vendors process information on our instructions. They are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.

Streaming and social platforms. Buttons and links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook take you to those companies. What they collect is governed by their own policies, not this one.

Legal. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the artist, the label, or visitors, or in connection with a genuine legal claim.

The Site itself does not run advertising pixels or sell data to ad networks. Your browser may still store a small local note if you join the list, as described above.

If you play an embedded video or leave this Site for Spotify, YouTube, or another partner, those services may set their own cookies. You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect playback on partner sites.

Mailing-list addresses are kept while you remain subscribed and for a short period after you ask to be removed, so we can honor the request. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up. Technical logs are kept only as long as our hosts retain ordinary server records.

You may unsubscribe from the list at any time by writing to us at the addresses below and saying you want off. You may also ask what information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any records we must keep.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The legal basis for sending the list is your request (consent). The legal basis for answering a message you send is our legitimate interest in responding, and, where needed, taking steps at your request.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information as that term is used in California law. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

This Site is an official artist page for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect information. No website is perfectly secure. Please use a private device when you send a message or join the list.

The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site, the music, or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. The current version is the one posted here.
